O'Brien Estate is in the Napa Valley, between the cities of Napa and Yountville. Our vineyard and winery is 75 minutes north of San Francisco.
Our address is 1200 Orchard Avenue, Napa, CA 94558.
To get here from San Francisco, the recommended route is over the Golden Gate Bridge and 101 North because of the scenic views through Marin and Sonoma and generally less traffic. The alternate route is over the Bay Bridge and Highway 80 through the East Bay.
If coming from the Golden Gate side, take Hwy 101 N to Route 37 (about 15 miles over the GG Bridge), to Route 121/12 which will take you to Napa.
If coming from the East Bay, take Route 80, to Route 37 West and take exit #19/Route 29 towards Downtown Vallejo/Napa. Turn right on Sonoma Blvd(29).
Once on Route 29, head North, passing Trancas, Trower and Wine Country Ave. The next road is Oak Knoll (where Trefethen Vineyards is located). Take a left on Oak Knoll (heading West), which immediately forces you onto Solano Road (which is about 20 feet past the railroad tracks). Take a left on Solano (heading South for .4 mile), then take your first right onto Orchard Ave. OBrien Cellars is 1/2 mile on your right. Two large stone posts, with the number 1200 clearly mark the driveway. There is no signage indicating it is a winery - we are very incognito.
